Privacy Policy

How TRANSCRIBEWAVE collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the information you provide directly to us, including your email address, account details, billing-related identifiers, and any files you upload for transcription.

When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information needed to authenticate your account, such as your Google account identifier and verified email address.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to provide the service, process transcriptions, manage your account, handle billing, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and improve the reliability and security of TRANSCRIBEWAVE.

3. Uploaded Files and Transcript Data

Your uploaded audio and video files are stored only long enough to process the transcription workflow. After processing, source files are deleted automatically as part of the normal job lifecycle. We retain transcript text, usage information, and account records so you can access completed transcriptions from your dashboard.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant-of-record provider. We do not store your full card details on our servers. Billing-related information may be associated with your account through identifiers returned by Dodo Payments so we can manage subscriptions and customer support.

5. Cookies and Session Data

We use essential cookies and session storage to keep you signed in, maintain account security, and operate core site functionality. We do not rely on optional tracking cookies to deliver the product.

6. Data Sharing

We share information only with service providers needed to operate the service, such as authentication, payments, hosting, and transcription infrastructure. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data Retention

We retain account, transcript, and billing-related records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No internet service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to reduce risk and protect customer data appropriately.

9. Your Responsibilities

You should upload only files and content that you own or are authorized to use and transcribe. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service complies with applicable privacy, copyright, and other laws.

10. Contact

If you have privacy questions or requests, contact us at hello@transcribewave.com.
